    No Dough Dinners

    No Dough Dinners are served at USO centers across the country on the days just before payday to help families bridge the gap between paychecks.  This program provides a nutritious option to our troops and their families when money is tight. A secondary benefit of the dinners is to bring families together with each other and members of the local community who wish to show their support.

    United Through Reading®

    This program helps ease the stress of separation for military families by having deployed parents read children’s books aloud via DVD for their child to watch at home. This powerful program is available to all deploying military units and at select USO locations. It provides parents a chance to make powerful and lasting connections with their children and parent from afar.

  • Hire Heroes USA

    Hire Heroes USA

    The USO, in partnership with Hire Heroes USA, hosts transitions workshops for wounded, ill and injured service members, their spouses and caregivers. The workshops are led by OEF/OIF veterans and wounded warriors. Hire Heroes USA focuses on resume writing, mock interviews, professional work practices and translating prior military experience into a civilian career.

    Families of the Fallen

    The USO has supported every dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base since March 1991. Family notifications occur at all times of the day and night, the USO works 24/7 to coordinate among USO centers across the country to support and comfort families traveling to and from Dover, meeting the myriad needs of families who have just received tragic news.
